Frequently Asked Questions
What does "cargo worthy" actually mean?
It means the container has been inspected by an IICL-certified surveyor and confirmed to meet the structural and weathertightness standards required for international ocean cargo transport. A valid CSC plate is affixed to prove it.
Do I need cargo worthy if I'm only using it for storage?
Not necessarily. If you don't plan to ship the container, a Wind & Water Tight grade offers the same weather protection at a lower price. CW is required only if you need to put it on a ship.
How long is the CSC certification valid?
A CSC plate is valid for 30 months from the date of inspection under the Continuous Examination Program (CEP), or until a new inspection is required by the shipping line. We provide containers with current certification.
Can you deliver cargo worthy containers nationwide?
Yes. We ship from major port depots across the country. Delivery is available via tilt-bed or flatbed truck. Request a quote and we'll include a delivered price to your address.
